|08:39 am - Rings!|
I bought some rings to make chain maille. I have a bunch of weave instructions (assuming I didn't lose them) and I'm excited to try. I bought mostly Aluminum rings on the theory that if I get decent at it, I can upgrade my metals, but in the mean time, practice on the cheaper stuff. All in mostly largish sizes to get me used to playing with the rings and fun colours. Ooooh, I'm excited.

Depending on what gauge of wire the rings are, the larger size (and I'm assuming you went with _large_ here...like 1/4" or better internal diameter) might not be as helpful as you expect. More important is that you have a good aspect ratio for the weave you want to try. Your instructions for different weaves should suggest appropriate IDs for rings.
That said, good luck and holler if you need pointers. =)
