Thinking on towards April, this year is wood. Should I get hoppie a tree to plant in the yard? A desk for his office? Some other type of furniture? A desk ornament made of wood?

Handmade wood game board... chess, checkers, backgammon, cribbage, Die Siedler von Cataan...whatever game he likes.

I know a couple of craftsmen who may or may not be able to help you (both have full time jobs).

They stop doing "by year" traditionally at 15 and then just jump by 5 until 60, at which point they figure one or both of you is dead.

The "modern" gift is silver plate.
