Never get between a girl and her bat

(this may get written up differently and included in nanowrimo story. Not sure)
Me: Look at this nifty baseball bat keychain hoppie got me.
Solies: Very nice.
Me: It's everything I've ever wanted: Red Sox World Champion logo; a baseball bat I can carry around with me, and a keychain, all in one!
Solies: It's very nice.
Me: Look! (swings bat vigorously)
Solies: Careful! You just wacked friend gnat.
Me: Did I hurt it?
Solies: (watching as the gnat flies up my gnose) I think you might have irritated it.
Me: (jumping around trying to convince the gnat to fly away.) Apparently gnats don't like being hit with baseball bats.
Solies: Who knew?
