Free space. Say what you gotta.

So, here we go again. For comparison, here's 2003

1. What did you do in 2004 that you'd never done before?
Completed 50bookchallenge.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Sorta. I got discouraged about September, but this too shall pass.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
My friend lain_mac had three beautiful children.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Closest was a good friend's father-in-law.

5. What countries did you visit?
Didn't leave this one.

6. What would you like to have in 2005 that you lacked in 2004?
Hopplings.

7. What date from 2004 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
RED SOX WORLD SERIES VICTORY. Wow.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
I didn't do anything this year.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Gosh, how can I pick just one?
I've had a hard time keeping in touch with my friends this year.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
No more than usual.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
The CD clock/radio I bought my cousin Jonathan, the jewlery I bought my cousin Monica, the dinosaurs I bought my cousin Steve, and the mechaman thing I bought my cousin Ricky. Because they need stuff. I swear I've never said that about anyone in my life, but it's true for them. Absolutely heartbreaking.
For honorable mention, I shall also add the fire truck I got my cousin Gabriel. Because he was just saying the day before to his mother, my cousin, that he wanted a big fire truck.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Ricky, the elder, because he swallowed his pride and called my uncle and aunt for help. Not for himself, but for the kids.
Lanna, because she's not totally insane, and I think I might be by this time if I were her.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Major League Baseball. Every freaking day. Between the rapidly eroding team building they aren't doing, and the steroids scandal that comes because both the owners and the players are more concerned about raking in money than they are about each other, or the long-term health and well-being of the players, and the love of the fans. Have you people learned nothing from Baseketball?

14. Where did most of your money go?
Car, insurance, yearly fees, charities, presents, and travel.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Not much.

16. What song will always remind you of 2004?
"Tessie" by the Dropkick Murphys
And the original Tessie.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you
i. happier or sadder?:
ii. thinner or fatter?
iii. richer or poorer?

i. sadder
ii. thinner
iii. same.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?

Wow. Same as last year, almost.
slept. cleaned. maintained correspondance with my friends.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
had migranes.

20. How will you be spending Christmas?
with hoppie's family and my niece.

No.

24. What was your favorite TV program?
Rodney

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Nope.

Long John Silver by Bjorn Larsson

Frickin A'

D., M., and I. In no particular order.

A room of my own.

30. What was your favorite film of this year?
Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
Doing some volunteer work. Obviously this is a prediction in advance.

32.What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
If you don't know, you just haven't been paying attention.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2004?
lightly layered.

34. What kept you sane?
Is this sanity?

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Sean Bean.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
personal freedoms, education, and gay marriage, which is a ridiculous political issue.

37. Who did you miss?
Nat.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
Delia

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2004:
Faith stretches a really long way, but sometimes, you have to move to hold on to it.

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
Boston's 10th man could not be wrong,
Up from 3rd Base to Huntington.
We sing another victory song.
2...3...4
"Tessie," "nuff ced" McGreevy shouted,
"We're not here to mess around."
Boston, you know we know we love you madly,
Here the crowd roar to your sound.
Don't blame us if we ever doubt you,
You know we couldn't live without you.
Tessie, you are the only, only, only.

Wow, me and mine were mentioned several times

(Link)
I feel honored that we were mentioned that much. I have to say that while Brooks hasn't given me much in the way of financial rewards, I am rich in the friends I have made here. You are the crown jewel of my treasury of "met them at Brooks" friends.

As for not being insane yet, the emphasis is on yet. As you know, something gotta give. And soon. Does running screaming from the building count as exercise?

Walking mumbling from the building just doesn't have the same impact.

My response: sanity is grossly overrated.

A question for you regarding your response to 11: What was the best thing you bought?. What was the best thing you bought yourself?
