I was just to letting them know I was still waiting for a reply in case they'd forgotten.
Two different people sending follow-up mail bashing them for not getting back to me was both uncalled for and offensive to me, and I can't imagine how it must feel to them.
I appreciate the support, but I was handling it with gentle humour, not rebuke. Two days from now, I might have shifted to rebuke, but not yet.
Speaking of which, that van (SUV) is still parked on my street halfway between my house and the next house over, but not close enough to be connected to either. If it's still there tonight, I'm calling the police.
