Fairytale Princess Amy

Forever afternoon

I love Valvoline Instant Oil Change. They didn't fix my problem, but they looked for it. I asked them to check the oil because my car is making a funny noise, and they didn't find anything wrong with that, so I was going to wander off and the girl tech (I LOVE that Valvoline has girl techs. I don't know why, but both of my favorite VIOCs have female techs and I love having girls work on my car.) asked if she could check the transmission fluid and maybe that was making the noise. I was a pint low and she made them check for leaks while I cycled through the gears. Okay, that wasn't the problem, but it really makes me feel better knowing they checked. I'm so much happier with my oil changes now that I switched from Jiffy Lube. And before you menfolk get all huffy and puffy, I did my own oil changes in college. I have not regretted switching to professional help. Maybe when the kids are old enough to learn how to do it, I'll do with them, but until then, happy to pay someone. That's what being an American is all about.

Perspective

When you take time off, you forget certain things. For instance, having not watched Nip/Tuck in forever, I forgot what a sexy little monster Julian McMahon is. Now that he's my icon for Richars Vorrutyer, I've been spending a lot of time looking at him. Not only are there tons of pictures of him on the net, he even has a community devoted to hating him. Poor Julian. Mmmmm, Julian.
Edit: You know what? I'm not comfortable saying that on the internet. For those of you who caught ththis post in it's original incarnation, feel honored.
