02:23 pm - Too much to do, no time.
My computer at the office is suddenly loud. I'm defragmenting it, hoping that will help. I've apparently gotten quite paranoid. Woohoo. The defragmenting worked. Now I feel like the genius.
And then it started again.

Oh well, I'm going to leave it alone, I guess, having no other options.

05:20 pm - Quotes
5 quotes memeCollapse )

After pages of quotes that didn't resonate with me, I finally got some that really did.

(This was the best quote from the first 50 I read.)
There are some things you can't share without ending up liking each other.

J. K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, 199

(This is where they started to appeal to me more.)

I know of no more encouraging fact than the unquestioned ability of a man to elevate his life by conscious endeavor.
Henry David Thoreau (1817 - 1862)

It is well to remember that the entire universe, with one trifling exception, is composed of others.
John Andrew Holmes

Tomatoes and oregano make it Italian; wine and tarragon make it French. Sour cream makes it Russian; lemon and cinnamon make it Greek. Soy sauce makes it Chinese; garlic makes it good.
Alice May Brock

It is feeling and force of imagination that make us eloquent.
Marcus Valerius Martialis (40 AD - 103 AD)

He that blows the coals in quarrels that he has nothing to do with, has no right to complain if the sparks fly in his face.
Benjamin Franklin (1706 - 1790)

That is the true season of love, when we believe that we alone can love, that no one could ever have loved so before us, and that no one will love in the same way after us.
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749 - 1832)

If you would stand well with a great mind, leave him with a favorable impression of yourself; if with a little mind, leave him with a favorable impression of himself.
Samuel Taylor Coleridge (1772 - 1834)
