|06:20 pm - Update from Florida|
Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. As I think you know by now, my nephew Nat passed away on Friday, December 1st at 12:01PM (says Brian). It was right around noon anyway. His parents were with him and Sissy's parents were there as well. He hasn't been fully conscience since probably the Friday after Thanksgiving and his passing was probably fairly painless, if that's any comfort.
The funeral is going to be on Monday in Charlotte, NC, near Sissy's family, and where Brian and Sissy are in the process of moving in the coming year.
I'm not sure what I can say that conveys the level of gratitude I have for all of you who've supported me and my family so much during this time and, unfortunately, I'll probably still need it as I come to terms to loosing Nat who was such a sunny, grouchy, happy, brilliant, finicky little monkey. I'm here with my family and that's the right place to be and I'm greatful for that. My parents arrived today. Sissy's parents drove home this morning and will be meeitng us in Charlotte.
I don't know what else to say.

For those of you who have a custom of sending gifts of flowers, food, or money in honour of the death of a loved one, this is part of Brian's official statement.
In lieu of flowers, the family has recommended several organizations to which you may make a donation in honor of Nat: The NASCAR Foundation, kidsbeatingcancer.com, the Ronald McDonald House, and the Jewish Federation of Volusia and Flagler Counties (Florida). For those who are unfamiliar with it, the Jewish Federation is associated with United Way and provides food and clothing for anyone in need. The address is 733 N. Nova Road, Daytona Beach, FL 32174, and the phone number is 386-672-0294.
