03:46 pm - About last night...
A word about mead in general, and Zoe's mead in particular.
It's pretty strong stuff.
I had, I dunno, about 8 ounces at the outside and I was pretty well drunk.
Admittedly we hadn't had dinner. I forgot about that. Until I was already drunk. Then I thought, "Hrm. Maybe we should have had dinner?" Also, "Damn, my shoulder hurts." Why did my shoulder hurt? No freaking clue, but it hurt alot.
Also I was very, very tired. I fell asleep in the car on the way home.
Then I went up to bed and fell asleep within about 10 minutes.
I missed the Yankees losing to Mike's Angels. I mean, I heard it sorta, just not really.
And then I overslept after dreaming about some mad scientist dealio.

Mead definitely hits harder on an empty stomach than a lot of things I've had to drink. I've found that if I haven't eaten, I'm ready to dance on the table after one reasonable (ie 8oz) glass.

If I've had a meal however, I can down half a bottle and just be a bit buzzed and nicely boneless.

It's a truely wonderful concoction though, isn't it? =)

It's fabulous. Betsy thought you might have sent her a bottle of it near when she got into college.

I did send a bottle for a Christmas gift at some point -- I think closer to a year or two after college graduation though, as I didn't discover the joys of honey wine until law school. =)
