|02:44 pm - But before I'd let that happen, I'd dance my life away|
Pictures from father's day back in Boston. I took zero pictures in Kentucky. It was embarassing. The only reason I took pictures at hoppie's parents is because I carried the stupid camera all the way to Kentucky, and damnit, I was going to use it!
I know I say this all the time,
My friend Nechama was in it with most of her children. The girls really. It was like a girl's dream out. In my dream she came to Kentucky, but I didn't want her to eat at my parents house because I didn't think their home was up to Nechama's standards, so I made her eat at the Chabad Rabbi's house. And then someone turned Mitch, one of my old coworkers, to stone, although not Steve (of the airplane book remember him?). They kidnapped Steve. And then it was like I was playing in an RPG. I knew what was going on, but I had to pretend I didn't so as to not spoil the plot. So we drove past where Mitch had been turned to stone, which was between where the Rabbi lives and where my grandmother lives (it really is too!) so I said when we got to my grandmothers that I thought I'd seen him. (I hadn't. I'd be focused on the road and driving.) and we had to sneak back over. We had to sneak lest whoever turned him to stone be watching him to see if we'd help him.
There were three of us girls at this point, Nechama, me and I don't know who the third was, Menucha maybe? We went to the fence that separates the JCC property (where my grandmother lives, don't ask) from the next street over and we were going to climb it, but we ended up magicking ourselves on the other side after making sure no one was watching. Instead of being the way to another street, though as it is in realish life, it ended up being a power line abatement with no trees which I'd been counting on to hide in. But Nechama assured me it was fine before I woke up.
This morning, in the shower, I started singing Vanity 6 songs to myself. It's not right, I tell you.
