Marriage of technology, history, and literature

I just got an ad for this product. If you don't want to click the link, it's a USB plug and play hard drive featuring every issue of The New Yorker ever printed, with extra space to download new issues into the drive and keep it updated.

I've never read The New Yorker cover to cover. I've read articles by select authors like Dorothy Parker, EB White, and James Thurber. I've read cartoons by Chaz Addams. (Edit: I would be remiss if I didn't mention that I've also read cartoons by James Thurber, and they're cute cartoons, but I prefer his writing.) I'm not saying the New Yorker isn't a worthy magazine, or that 300$ is too much to pay to read it, given that most of the articles are probably not available anywhere else. I'm just quietly wondering if people will buy it.
