Phobeers

Phobeers meme gacked from hr_macgirl

The fear of heights seems to have a lot of associated fears and I'd complain about being zapped by more than one, except that it balanced out by allowing me to to pick a small subset of social phobia that I have and separate it from the others I don't have. (scopophobia) Of course, my fear of heights accounts for 5 of the phobias below.

Acrophobia/Altophobia - fear of heights
Aeroacrophobia - fear of open high places
Bathmophobia - fear of stairs or steep slopes - I'm not sure this is actually right. I have a reasonable caution of narrow steps because they force the perspective of heights and require cautious stepping. It's not like I see stairs or slopes and an inherently afraid of them.
Catapedaphobia- Fear of jumping from high and low places.
Macrophobia- Fear of long waits. - the longer I wait, the more my imagination conjures up bad things waiting to happen.
Scopophobia or Scoptophobia- Fear of being seen or stared at. - This has gotten less over the years as I've sort of accepted it will happen, but it does make me slightly anxious in unfamiliar social settings (where I feel like I stand out as a stranger).

My new favorite phobia is: Allodoxaphobia
