The Two-Minute Warning: A multi-fandom fic challenge

1. Clear your schedule for two minutes.
2. Choose a fandom:
Harry Potter
Artemis Fowl
A Series of Unfortunate Events
Johnny Dixon
Trixie Belden
James Bond
Vorkosigan saga
Alice in Wonderland
Chronicles of Narnia
Babylon 5
Star Trek
Star Wars
Dresden Files
-- or anything you like better--

3.Then select one of the 10 prompts from this list. They are all of book titles, if that matters. I tried to find titles by relatively well known authors, but that might inspire works other than the ones that go by these titles.

My Crowd
Quicker than the Eye
A Very Private Plot
Clear Light of Day
The Power that Preserves
Love is Hell

4. Choose one of the prompts, and - using any appropriate fandom/character[s] - write.
5. Reply with your teeny weeny story in the comments to this post.

Here's the ficlet I did for widepretence. It's Harry Potter- Order of the Phoenix time period.

It had taken a long time, but Alastor "Mad-Eye" Moody had finally stopped jumping at shadows. His invisibility cloak was already secure around him, but he tugged it closed as if that would help shield him.

He could hear the sounds of the Dursley's TV, the sound of their feet studiously avoiding Harry Potter's room, the sounds of the house settling as it slowly aged.

But there were no animal sounds. No dogs barking, no crickets chirping, no owls hooting. The muggles attributed it to the baking heat and oppression of that miserable summer, but Mad Eye knew it had darker implications. He was awake. He was constantly vigilant. He was there. Watching and waiting in the night.
