Trip to Maryland, Aug 5, 2007
I thought I'd mentioned it at the time, but couldn't find the blog entries. I caught my car in a lucky moment. It clicked over just as I was pulling into a parking space AND had my camera....
Rosh Hashana Which is really just pictures of Alan, with like one picture of Benjamin and whoever the heck we were with at the time. 8-)
Notice the complete absence of Laura. Had she shown up, I might have made an effort to take pictures, but since she didn't, neither did I. Hoppie took all of these.
Pictures of Hoppie and Carla's Birthday party.
I think my favourite part of the weekend was when the Bat Mitzvah girl cornered me and thanked me. And said, "I didn't thank you in my speech because Mommy said you hate being thanked in public." And I do. And I'm blown away that she remembered and is teaching her children to interact with people in the ways that touch us most deeply. They referred to me in public speeches (and by they, I mean Eliezer) in the most oblique of ways; enough for me and a few other people to recognize me, but not enough to make people turn to see "Who are they talking about!"
We burned through three sets of batteries on the camera. I'll need to buy more. Not bad for an afternoon.
I desperately crave soda. Don't know why.
