|10:28 am - And while I'm taking time off|
I was thinking about Dan Fogelberg this morning, and that set of train of retrospective girlfriend songs. I'm not talking generic past love songs like "Past Lover" by the Fashionable Winos or "88 Lines about 44 Women" by The Nails (or "Girls, Girls, Girls" by Motley Crue; or "In and Out of Love" by Bon Jovi) but the more nostalgic songs that focus on individual relationships.
The list so far:
Dan Fogelberg "Same Old Lang Syne"
The Moody Blues "Your Wildest Dreams"
Garth Brooks "How Do Ya Like Me Now"
Heart "All I Want to do is Make Love to You"
Bowling for Soup "Almost"
What other songs can you think of?
I'm eliminating a number of Bowling for Soup songs like "Two Seater" "Life After Lisa" and "Emily" on the grounds that they are recent termination, not a nostalgic look.
Current Mood: contemplative

Re: How Do You Like Me Now
You're right. I actually own like 4 country albums, including that one. Obviously one of the others is Garth Brooks, so when I was searching for the name, that's the one I hit on. But yeah, the voices are nothing alike and now that you've said it, it was a *ding* moment.
I'm surprised no one commented on it earlier.
