I like any comic that contains the phrase "Clutter Monster Smash"
I was in Connecticut driving home from work during drive time a few weeks ago. (Week 17 of the NFL season, if you must know) and the only sports radio I could get for drivetime was (you guessed i), 660- The Fan. When I turned to the station, (train wreck...don't want to watch...can't look away) there were two opinions being expressed:
1. Rest the starters, face the Pats in the Superbowl.
2. The Giants suck. They will not make it to the Superbowl regardless of what they do, they should do an all out assault on the Patriots run for the perfect season.
To both of you, I now say, without the slightest hint of irony, bahahahahahhahaahahaha. I preach a lot of fan tolerance and I try to believe it, but, in my heart of hearts, I hate New York fans. I was even ready to root for the New York team just so every stupid opinion I heard that day would be completely and utterly negated.
Also, it's my personal belief that a team should always play to win on the field. Giving less than your best those last games really dulls your edge. Play every game like it's important. I think the Giants and Patriots can both show you why. I think, objectively, that the Giants are in a great position. They're playing hot and they've seen the Patriots recently and made them work. They can build on that recent knowledge to put together a really strong game plan. Of course, that works both ways, but in terms of a football game, I think the Superbowl will be worth watching, and not just proforma this year.
My mother-in-law always does themed superbowls based on what teams are playing...baked beans and pizza bagles this year? What are some good New York foods? I've offered to bring the fixings for egg creams. I have some U-Bet in the basement awaiting just such an occasion.

Giants fans and NY food.
First, I am a HUGE Giants fan. I only picked up a serious interest in the Pats when Parcells came here to coach. Since then, I'm hooked on them too. No matter who wins the Superbowl, I will be happy.
Second, NY food. It's Jewish deli food. Corned Beef, Pastrami, Reubens, Knishes. Also good pizza, stressing "good". Whenever I go home, I have to have real NY pizza.
From NY with love.
