This morning I installed the version of the product, with the new master glossary. I opened up my login script and in mere moments had my environment configured for the new server thanks to the automation work I did before to allow me to select between versions. Beautifully commented to tell me which 5 words had to change to make the new configuration the default as well as a selectable version.
Then I installed the product and prepared to be dazzled. Of course the first link I randomly clicked on was improperly defined, but the rest? Brilliant. And the PDF. It all worked exactly the way I imagined it would. Dazzled. Absolutely dazzled.
I must remember this on the days when I think I'm way too stupid for this job.
Vacation? What vacation. Oh right. Well this wasn't really work, it was just admiring my work. Yeah, yeah, that's it.
Fine, whatever. I'm off to the gym and then Hoppie and I are going to Maker's Mark.
