Ugh, I hope not. The thought of others seeing me the way I see myself is seriously depressing. The thought of them seeing me as in some way worse is beyond comprehension.

There was a guy who commented on the thread that he didn't understand why that was a bad thing: shouldn't we be honest about who we are and not labour under a delusion our whole lives.

I figure he must be well adjusted and can't imagine how off his self-image really is or he wouldn't say that.
